How to use Belle library on the justice.

• Setup environmental variables
• For tcsh users, Please "setenv BELLE_LEVEL hogehoge" and "source /belle/local/etc/cshrc_general" in your .cshrc.
• For bash users, Please "export BELLE_LEVEL=hogehoge" and source "/belle/local/etc/bashrc" in your .bashrc.
• If you want to use optimized version (-O3 and no debug info.), "setenv BELLE_DEBUG opt" or "setenv BELLE_DEBUG gcc3opt" for gcc3 version before "source /belle/local/etc/cshrc_general"
• Please check /belle/belle directory for available BELLE_LEVEL,
• How to get_packages from bwg*.
• On bwg*,
1. Make new belle/src directory and move there
2. "unsetenv MY_TOP_DIR".
3. Execute "get_packages -tar package1 package2...".
4. "cd ../../" and "scp install-code and get_packages.tar.gz".
• On local host,
1. Execute "install-code". This make belle/src directory.
2. "cd belle/src" and run "make".
• Notice
• Sometimes basf dies without cleaning used resources. Run ipcs command from time to time to check it. If you find such resources, run ipcrm or ipcdistclean to remove them.
• You may need to "module register qq98" to use modules which use Gen_hepevt table.

Available Real Data and MC files copied from KEK. ( as of Wed Aug 29 01:11:13 JST 2001 )

• There are NO data mdst file and MC files on justice. Please skim at KEK and transer skimmed files to Osaka by yourself.
  For details of mdst files, see MDST Files for Hadronic Skims.
• DST files of random triggered events for addbg made by Hara-san (/belle/addbg/e0000{07,09,11,13}/).
• To use these files, "setenv ADDBG_DAT/belle/addbg/e000013/e000013/e000013r000877-r000884_bbg.bbs", for example. mcprod5 backage takes care of addbg automatically.

MC production.

• Database server.
• justice is the default database server. If the server of justice is not available, another server of tylam will be used. basf command, which is a shell script /belle/local/bin/belle_run, is modified from the default to do so,

Command	Usage	Description
mcgen	mcgen name start# end# event# [-u user_table] [-t decay_table] [-c control_file] [-m select_module] [-l directory]	Run qq98 and produce gen_hepevt files named name-{start#,start#+1,...,end#-1,end#}.gen. Each of output files contains event# events or selected events among event# events by select_module.
mcevtgen	mcevtgen name start# end# event# [-u user_table] [-t decay_table] [-p pdt_table] [-m select_module] [-l directory]	Run BelEvtGen and produce gen_hepevt files named name-{start#,start#+1,...,end#-1,end#}.gen. Each of output files contains event# events or selected events among event# events by select_module.

Examples
• Produce Bcp -> J/psi Ks, Ks-> pi+pi- Btag -> generic events with mcgen and mcprod5 package.
1. mkdir in gsimrecon
2. cp /belle/local/share/mcprod_200110/*.* gsimrecon/
   Modify mcprod5.basf like this.
   Because Ks decays in gsim, not in qq98, selgpm is used to select Ks -> pi+pi- decay. Then set GSIM_EXP in mcprod5.rc.
3. Start mcprod5.sh. (in/ directory is empty, but this is OK.)
   cd gsimrecon
   jsub -q l ./mcprod5.sh
4. Make *.gen files and put symbolic links in the in/ directory.
   cd ../
   jsub mcgen jpsiks 0 9 400000 -u cp_psiks.dec -t qq98_fbtag.dec -c belle_bb98_lpdg.ctr -m selpsi -l in/
   Here selpsi is a BASF module to select decay mode B -> J/psi Ks, J/psi -> l+l-. This generates 400000 events and saves selected events by selpsi to files whose names are jpsiks-0.gen,jpsiks-1.gen,...,jpsiks-9.gen and makes symbolic links to them in 'in/' directory.
5. When you finish, jkill mcprod5.sh.
   jjobs
   jkill JOB_ID
