There are many symmetries in the Universe. Considerations on those symmetries led to the beautiful laws in the nature, such as Gauge Theory. At the same time, the studies on the symmetries revealed that some of the symmetries are not exact, for example, the CP is not a exact symmetry in the electroweak interaction. Our group is aiming for studying the property of Higgs boson, which is beleved to exist to have the electroweak symmetry broken in the Universe, and searching for undiscovered particles originated from the supersymmetric nature which is a hypothesical symmetry in exchaing between a fermion and a boson.

LHC is a very large (the diameter is about 9km) proton-proton collider being built at CERN in Geneva, Switzerland. The operation is expected to start in May 2008. Our experiment is conducted at the Atlas detector which is one of the four detectors at the LHC. The physics data taking will be started in summer 2008.
